Yes you could get a sportside Chevy S10 SS (Super Sport) in 1997. They made the sport side SS from 96-98 and the fleetside SS was from 94 to 98. Then in 99 went to the Xtreme. The SS only came in red, black or white with a vortec V6. I have a black 94 SS.
