I've got a V6 Bird myself. I love it. You get great looks and something that's in high demand nowadays, good gas mileage. I run 25-28 mpg normally. These cars have to live under the Trans-Am's which are some of the fastest cars on the road, even today and for that reason they normally get the shaft when it comes to reviews. But I've heard many people say that these cars are really awesome for AutoCross type racing. The torque curve is great. As far as "fast" goes, fast is a relative term. Snails are fast compared to cold syrup, you won't be able to beat high end stuff, but pull up to any normal car, and you'd probably be able to take it or at least put up a good fight. Buy an air intake and some exhaust and it'll be even better.

nope, my pontiac grand prix gtp will rape it, same engine with a supercharger, but u can prolly go to a mechanic and buy the supercharger, it will mount right up. u shoulda bought the trans am with the 5.7, oh and btw, i upgraded the pully system and my 4 door throws down a 0-60 in 4.38

Not really, it is only a V6, they just look like the Trans Am. A stock Firebird usually runs a 16 second quarter mile (which is not too great). I have a V8 Trans Am WS-6 which is a Firebird on steroids and it runs a 13 second quarter mile, it is modded a little, but I also drive it daily too.

Its around 200 HP. its kind of in the middle of the spectrum..its not fast and its not slow, but you can get goodies for it like headers and intake, etc etc. that may help.. do a little research
