Driver's door open is the door that causes that annoying sound sentry to come on. I finally removed the buzzer, after I had the door open, while cleaning the interior. And was happy with that decision, until I turned on the parking lights with the ignition off and realized there was no sound indicating that my lights were left on.What else will be affected by the removal of that sound module, Engine Computer? and what else could i do to get rid of that annoying door signal to the buzzer, the buzzer module has seven different spade terminals that plug into the sockets, could i clip one of those spade terminals off that would get rid of the drivers' door open signal? I contemplated glueing the door open switch, in. but I like having the lights come on when I open the door. Also thought about putting duct tape over the buzzer. Any thoughts.

I own a shop, and can relate to this. They sure have a way of getting on your nerves. What I do is this; With the buzzer unplugged, use a test light to determine which terminal is working when the door is open, and which one works for the lights. When you locate the desired one, either unplug the wire, or cut it. If you cut it, just make sure you leave enough to attach it back in case you need to. Tape them off so they can't cause a short. Hook your test light to the steering column bolts under the dash so you will have a good ground source, and probe the wires with the needle end of the test light.Part 2:
One thing you can do is; You know this spray foam stuff that people put in cracks in buildings? It's yellow and dries to like a Styrofoam look & feel. I'll bet that stuff would shut it up, and not harm anything, or the duct tape might work. How about use a piece of foam rubber and duct tape that over it?

its the same buzzer for all remove the switch to see what wire color it is and follow that to the buzzer snipe it three or four inch's from the box. if that works then the dome light will still work if it does not run a wire to the dome lights ground wire the one that goes to the outer part of the bulb and use that as a ground to the switch all the door switch does is ground that wire to the frame.do you REALLY offroad!

hi, locate the wire that makes the buzzer go off when you open the door, and put an on /off switch in series. this way you have an option. and dont worry, nothing was affected during the removal of that sound module except a discharged battery.More Questions & Answers ...
