i am wanting to inprove the horsepower and the handling of the car and i what can i do to inprove the looks too. it has the 2.2 liter engine and a automatic tranmission

I'd concentrate on the body mods. A spoiler will help in the looks department, coupled with aftermarket wheels and tires. Maybe a set of racing-styled seats for the interior. The thing is so underpowered you'll never get away with playing "boy racer" with it, but you could improve it slightly by adding a K&N air filter and maybe a set of headers, and a dual exhaust (I'm not even sure they make dual pipes for the thing, but any good competent exhaust shop should be able to whip up a set for you). Give it a good paint job and admire the results; just don't expect it to be a really great performer (I know; I had a 1990 Sundance..)
