i have a 94 maxima V6 and i think my engine temperature gauge is unplugged can someone direct me to or give me step by step directions to go about fixing that?

I believe that your engine have two Temperature Sensors, they are next to each other on the top water pipe that comes out of the engine. You have to go to the side (front of the engine) and look for the top pipe (metal pipe, not the hose) that comes out of the engine right in the middle.

There should be two small plugs attached to the pipe, one is the Gauge Temp Sensor (the small one) and the other is the ECU Temp Sersor.

If your Electric Fan is always ON, then you have the ECU unplugged as well. If you find that both are actually plugged, then you need to change the Sensor(s). If the Fan is not always ON and there is no Check Engine Light ON, then just change the Small one, if not, then you should change both sensors.

You should get them from Nissan, do not buy cheap sensors elsewere as they could read wrong, and will fail in no time.
