What are Ford FE Heads, Casting # C5AE-F.?

Question:
This was from a closing machine shop that was in business many years. No one can identify what they are for. Even the town automotive wiseman doesn't know. Not in any of the parts books.

Answers:

Ford focus with sport suspension?

Those are high performance medium riser 427 Ford FE cylinder heads... NOT 390 heads (although the 390 is in the same family of engines as the 427). These are very sought after and quite valuable for guys doing Cobra restorations, vintage drag racing, Eleanor Mustangs, etc. If you can get them cheap or free... jump on them. I've seen very rough sets go for about $1000+ and good sets go for much, much more. Put them on ebay and watch them fly! I provided a link, but just about any search on Yahoo or Google will give you the same info! Good luck.
