Question:
I've been having a problem with my 2003 BMW 325xi for the past year now where it stalls at low speeds. Usually, it happens when I'm going under 10mph and kind of mixing the gas and brakes getting into traffic. I had the VANOS Controller unit replaced in November and it seemed to do the trick, but it happened again today. I'm not quite sure what to do because this is the fourth time this has happened (first since the new VANOS) and the factory warranty ended last week. It's important to mention this thing only has 35k miles on it and is a n automatic. The factory warrant expired last week, I do have the extended warranty but they were already saying that it may not be covered and that I'll be responsible for the amount. Can I declare this thing a lemon by this point?

I have the 325i same year and it did the same thing once in a while at those low speeds .in traffic or aproaching a set of lights. they changed my Fuel tank ...fuel pump..and it stillpersisted.
I now have 73k miles on it ..use higher octane (92) , the problem subsided after a few full tank 92+ .
