i have a 1986 mercury cougar and a 1996 chevt lumian neither 1 will start both only clicks 1 time when you turn key and then nothing all lights work. have replaced battery alternator starter solnoid can someone help me please

ignition switch maybe? bad battery cables? corroded connections?check battery cables they get corrosion on the in side of them you cant see. also make sure you have a good ground maybe the ground cable is loose

check the battery cables on both ends at the battery and on the negative at the frame96 Intrepid shakes while idling...?

So check spark related problems (you've already done some). Have you done the starter and not just the solenoid? How about the plugs and wires? What about the coil or coil packs? How about the distributor and cap & rotor (N/A if you have coil packs)? How about the ICM?
