Second, with the correct size socket attached to a breaker bar relief the tension and remove serpentine belt.

footnote................When re-installing belt make sure it is properly placed. Failure here will not only destory the belt but put undue stress on idler.
youll need a basic socket set, its around wheel that the belt turns on to tension the belt. its only one bolt in the middle
