My husband has a Ford Focus. He's had it since the end of 2004. It's been very reliable, and the only times it has caused complications, was when the battery died, and then the alternator went out.Other than that, it's a pretty good vehicle.
I like them just fine.... But they are low budget cars... But can be made into pocket rockets... With very little work... Parts are cheap...

If your going for a Used one Make sure you get a Ztec DOHC engine. the SOHC just don't have the get up and go.. The new ones all have the Mazda DOHC DISI engine's.. I think....

Timing belt being the most import item... Needing replaced at every 65,000 miles... I do mine at 75K...

I drive a Ford Focus daily. The car is dependable, reliable, and economical. It has a lot of room in the trunk and can seat four adults with comfort. Passengers are surprised by the roomy interior and the smooth ride for such a compact car. I would say reliable. It started it countless times without problem when the temperature was below zero or in the single digits, which for me was huge! There is road noise, because it is not a very big sedan. Also, going over dips, or speed bumps, it tended to make a little noise (somewhat of a squeak...shocks maybe??).Where can I find a taillight bezel for a '67 ford fairlane??
My friend had a Focus and it sucks. After a few years he had problems and had to take it to the dealer. Yea they're cheap but u really do get what u pay for.
