What axle do i have?

Question:
How do i tell if i have a dana 35 or a dana 44. I have a 2000 sahara and was told by someone it was adana 35 but other people have said tht the sahara came with the 35. Now i am confused

Check the fill plug. The 35 has a rubber snap in fill plug, the 44 has a metal screw in plug.

Not all 35 has rubber plugs, the Dana35 in some years did have a metal screw in plug.
