And actually, that's not how it goes with the VIN. If it starts with a "J" then it's built in Japan. If it starts with any number, it's North American. Believe me I know, I am a Toyota parts person and have to decode VIN's daily.
Most new models are introduced in September or October. Don't expect much change in the Camry for '08, though. The '07 was a re-design and should stay basically the same for 4-5 model years.
