Why aren't there any 2001 through 2005 stick shift Galants?
It depends on what your're after. It's a bit of a "lifestyle" vehicle which, although seems a bit pointless (it's a jacked up off road looking car that doesn't go off road or handle like a good road car).Is the 2005 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4X4 3.7 Liter V6 a good choice?
But on the other hand, it's spacious, Toyota's build quality is undisputably first class, so you know it's not going to break down anytime soon, comfortable and quiet. I rode in one to france last year and despite not being much of a handler round the little french lanes, it made the journey comfortable. It gives nice visibility when your driving round town (although it blots out everyone elses) as you sit quite high up.
If reliability is important, don't for gods sake go near anything italian, the cars are as tempermental as the women.
It is however your money and if you liek it, go for it! It will be reliable and maintain it's value so financially it's a sound buy.

Have you checked out Honda's CRV? They're much the same thing but I think the Honda looks a bit funkier. There's really very little to seperate the two in real world terms though.

i own a repair shop,and one of my customers has a new one,,i think its pretty nice,and they have the best warranty you could get on any vehicle,,so i don't see why people don't like them,,all the ones i know of are doing good as far as holding up,and giving good service,,but i like the newest ones ,,they look alright,,good luck i hope this help,s.Comfortable with good power.
