How much does an upgraded alternator cost??

im thinking about upgrading my alternator so it puts out more power so i can run my subs and other things off of it...i was just wondering how much an upgraded alternator would cost?? thanks

i own a repair shop ,and these can cost anywhere from 50 bucks all the way up to 300 ,it all depends on if you want a new one or a rebuilt one,as far as the quality of it goes ,again that will reflect in the price of it also,if its cheap ,then look at it like this,it may not have been built with good quality parts,and it may not last very good,so really when you start looking for one ,use good judgment on one when purchasing it,you want it to last,good luck with it i hope this helps.
