i own a repair shop ,and not tall fords are bad vehicles,i think you did a pretty good job on getting that one,and at a good price also them dropping the price of it that much makes it even a better deal, but the escapes are pretty good vehicles to own,i have a lot of customers who has them, and they have no complaints from them,so all together id say you did really good on everything about this deal, take good care of it ,and it should last you a good while, remember the key to any vehicle giving good service is the owner giving it good maintenance, good luck with it ,i hope this helps.Does a 383 chevy crate engine fit on a 1995 chevy silverado?
Sorry about your purchase, I just sold my 01 ford Expect2Fix-em (Expedition). It had about 81K miles and was about to need its third transmission. The first one went out at 50K miles, and the replacement beginning to behave badly. My sister bought 2 Expect2Fix-ems before she learned her lesson about ford SUV's. Other than poor gas mileage, transmission, electrical, air bag, and engine problems I liked the junky thing. It was big and comfortable.Removing my catalytic convertor?
So what do you do now. First don't beat yourself up. You are obviously having buyers remorse. Buying used is a smart thing, you could probably sell it for about what you paid. If you keep it, find a good mechanic. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to the dealer. There isn't a dealer shop for any brand that is worth anything, and the ford dealers are the worst of the bunch. Ask your friends where they take their cars. I've found a couple good shops where honesty and fair prices come first by talking with my friends.
not a bad deal
i bought a 1996 ford taurus and it was one of the best cars i ever had. Until someone ran a stop sign after she stole a car and i broadsided her.

Ford galaxy gearbox stuck in first gear?
my wife bought the same car new in 2002. she has about the same mileage on it. she has the oil changed regularly, and has had very few problems. the most expensive thing to go wrong was a seat belt sensor, that was like $200. other than that no problems, good vehicle, sounds like a great price. i would be totally comfortable driving that vehicle anywhere. i would take it to a mechanic and have a good checkup, make sure everything is in working orderNot a bad deal there, Don't mind SIGNED, there is good dealer's out there, I work in a professional garage were first time fix is normally ac hived, the main dealer knows the product way better and has all the information and diagnostic equipment at hand, Ford i am not 100% keen on, but i think you have got an alright deal, drive her for a while and if you don't like it you should get in or around the same money back!!
enjoy!
