Pull the engine, rebuild with high performance parts, if you do the top end be sure the bottom end will hold up. Then the transmission, rear end, drive shaft. It's just not about the HP, it has to be a system to get the power to the wheels, and the weakest link will fail. To get the HP up to that level, you may want to think about forced induction or nitrous,I need to sell my jeep, does anyone know good websites to sell them on, for free preferebly?

Edlebrock has several applications with a proven hp gain. You can save some bucks depending on your heads, by having .0030 shaved off of them and then machined out to accept 2.02 valves or find a set of 1985 IROC heads for a 305 block that has 2.05 valvesHP is fine but what launches you off the line is torque. A good set up that I have is a stroked 350 bored .0030 out with 400 crank and rods.I have a Crowler stage 2 cam and a torquer 2 intake with a 750 Holley double pumper. 11-1 pistons That brings it up to 383 ci.
