Pending on the part. As far as oil filter and brakes things like that you are just paying for the name I do not use all Honda parts as it makes no difference and my car runs great.original parts are always best... they enhance the life of the vehicle

I think that it is a matter of wether you percieve the oem parts to be better. I think that there are some very good aftermarket parts houses that are every bit as good as the oem. But that is something that you are going to have to decide for yourself.Every reputable parts house has some sort of specs that they have to have their parts meet, and some of those specs have higher standards than original.
Ask your parts man/woman. They should be able to show you a comparison between original and aftermarket

its a trade off. the real question is value. if a part costs twice as much, it should last twice as long. i have the original alternator on my 10 yr old car but i doubt when it goes out i will go buy a honda alternator. its too easy to replace. however when i replace the water pump, i will go honda as i know it will run for a long time and its labor intense to replace. my stainless steel headers off of ebay were 70 bucks. i doubht the 300 dollar honda ones are that much better. so use your best judgement in purchasing.More Questions & Answers ...
