it should automatically be set when doors are locked by remote control,if you have double central locking then i presume that this has to be done before it sets,perimeter alarm scans around the inside and outside picking up any movement within the sensor and sets off the alarm and should automatically switch your immobiliser on ,this was the method on one of my ford cars that i owned.I have a question about the maintenance of the fuel filter on my 1997 jeep cherokee.?
perimeter alarm is supposed to be set when you lock the doors with the key fob or if I remember x amount of minutes after you exit the vehicle by locking the doors with the power door locks.1996 BMW 525TDS value...CAR WAS NOT SOLD IN AMERICIA?
basically if it detects entrance without the key being used or the remote being used to open the car.. it's supposed to go off (one test is to try unlocking the car with the windows down from the inside and opening with the outside door handle.. will set it off everytime...
