i own a shop ,and first off check the fusible links down by the starter on it and also check to see if all the ground wires are good,it sounds like you just have a bad connection on it, but you can also have a bad solenoid switch there at the starter or the wires that connect on at the positive post of the starter have come loose or have gotten really corroded ,you need to check all of this ,if you have nothing working its usually a really dead battery or a bad connection on it,good luck i hope this helps.Check the fusible links down at the starter. The positive battery cable goes to the starter and the links hook up to the same lug on the starter. Check them with a test light or voltmeter. I bet you have lost one or more of the links!

Im interested in in buying a ford transit connect,?
even though you said your battery was fine, the only explanation i can think of is that your battery is dead. my dad had a 2003 navigator and when he started it up one time at a gas station, it sound like a horse winnie. then about a day later, you could hardly hear the radio because it was really staticy. then after a while it didn't start up and the dealership replaced its battery and we lived happily ever after.Problems with A/C on 1999 Windstar, only get heat no cold air?

Does anyone own or have driven/travelled in a Nissan QASHQAI ?
Try the battery cables for corrosion. The fact you have no lights is usually the battery or bad connections., Always try the obvious first.would be help full if you could describe the strange noise....it could be starter, solenoid, fried fusible link,s[ although lost link,s don,t usually make noise].....chec... your connection,s at your starter...loose connection,s could cause this.....if it sounded like your starter tried to start then all went dead....check your connection,s at your starter....use a 12volt test probe to test your wiring..hope this help,s...good luck.
