there are 2 common size of sockets that fit spark plugs 9/16 and 5/8, if your not sure which one fits the kind of plugs you have get both from a auto parts store and take back the one you dont need. If you dont have a ratchet and an extension at least a foot long get those also. Do it while the engine is cold so you dont strip the threads and wont burn your hands. be careful putting the new plugs in if they dont go in smoothly your probably cross threading it and will ruin the threads. turn it out a couple of turns and try again till it goes in smooth.
