My pal ordered a "chip" for his 96 dodge ram V8, and I need your opinion...?

Question:
The "chip" ended up being a little resistor that takes the place of some air sensor, and makes the engine gain up to 5-20 Hp, his is the older truck (220 Hp, 300 lb torque). It made a bit of a diff, was the resistor worth it

Answers:

How can i repair a pin sive hole on a aluminum pipe that goes to my cooling system on my car?

Let me guess, he bought it off of Ebay. The gains are BS. Its just fooling the computer into thinking that the intake air is colder than what it really is. He would benefit more buying a real programmer for his truck ie:superchips or hypertech, or send his pcm to B&G Chrysler to get it reflashed, you can check out their website for the best info. These of course are more expensive options, but they actually work.

I need a Ford Galaxy Owners Manual, New 2.0 TDCI?

If it wasn't too expensive, and it doesn't reduce the gas mileage, then yes, it was worth it.

03 Dodge Ram Transmission was serviced but still slips in low gear. What do I need to do?

any way you gain free horse power is good. i say free horse power because it does not run off the engine drive accessories which take power to make power. check out some of the Banks power items for your application, Banks is the best in my opinion.
