What is the difference between GLS, GL, and GLX on a 2000 VW New Beetle?

Question:
a guy who is trying to buy the VW wants to know which one it is. Thanks!

Answers:

I have a 2001 chevrolet silverado and the fuel gage goes on and off at random times. I think its a loose wire

GL is a base model, most likely a manual transmission with roll up windows and very limited options, and a 2.0L engine. GLS is the next step up with a moonroof , power everything, usually comes with an auto transmission unless ordered differently , alloy wheels and an optional 1.8t engine with 186HP. GLX is loaded with leather, moonroof, cdchanger nice 17" alloy wheels, 1.8t foglamps , heated seats but none of the beetles have power seats, and the there is the TURBO S model which is a limited production which has a 6-speed manual.
