If I take care of my Infiniti G35 properly, how long will the car last me?
summitracing.comI own a shop, and looking in Jegs and Summit catalogs, I can't find many parts for a 4 cylinder engine. I would do what everyone else does, put a different engine in it. There just isn't that much on the market for the chevy 4 cylinders, and not much for the 6 cylinders. You can get things like turbo's, Nitrous systems, but that is about it, and I'm not sure of the Turbo thing. There is a reason everyone is going to the different engines for them, and it is for the same problem you have, no parts.

Be aware that your engine is perfected by the factory to supply you with optimal performance and fuel mileage for a vehicle of many duties. If you wish to run this 'truck' as greased lightning then forget about heavy haul'n. The adjustment from tug boat to speed boat involves more than just a notion. It involves a dedication to adjust to the new operational rquirements. To build a 4-banger that will thrill you requires patience and knowledge and can slay the best factory performance vehicles in 1/4 mile runs. 2hp. per ci. of displacement for a naturally aspirated 4-banger is very attainable and when tied down into a 2700lb. vehicle certainly makes for a world class performer.

K&N has improved air filter inlet tubes, MSD has ignition upgrades, and Magnaflow makes a good stainless high-flow exhaust system. There are also exhaust headers available but they are not emissions legal in some states.

If you do all these things, you'll see a 10-15 horse gain at the most. It's not much, but you'll feel a difference.
There's always nitrous, but the little 2.2 isn't strong enough to take too much.
