EG8 1.5 Single Cam Fuel Injected Automatic Civic 92model...i've been experiencing lots of problems with my car lately .the car acts like it's forcing to move when i accelerate & the engine trembles during driving ...there is also a LACK of acceleration power..& i strongly believe it's the injectors OR Fuel Pressure Regulator .the car burns ALOT of gas .

The best injector cleaning is done at service shops. To check injector condition, a technician connects a fuel pressure gauge, momentarily energizes the fuel pump, and then operates each injector. The drop in pressure for each injector is measured. If they are all close or equal, everything is good. If there is a difference, the injectors need cleaning. This is an "injector flush".

To clean the injectors, the technician will disconnect the fuel injector lines from the rest of the system at the engine and connect another tank, containing concentrated cleaning solution, to the engine. He will then operate the engine for several minutes on the concentrated cleaner solution. This usually cleans the injectors and also cleans carbon off the back side of the intake valves to allow the air-fuel mixture to enter the cylinders better.

I would make sure that your o2 sensor is good along with your cat. Check the fuel pressure along with a compression test. Also check the ignition timing and make sure the air filter and tract isn't clogged. Try Seafoam cleaner, its one of the best out there as far as cleaning goes.

hmmmm couple of things you need to do. sounds like you need a tune up. when was the last time you tuned up your car. if you have not. buy and replace your fuel filter, pcv valve, air filter, distributor and rotor, and possibly the spark plug wires. go to any auto shop and buy a couple of fuel system and injector cleaners. and put them in your tank at fill up. also check your vacuum systems and make sure they have the appropriate pressure. if not your car may lose compression. after all these are done you will see the difference.Any one know where to get a suspension lift kit for a 2001 dodge Dakota 4x4?
The most critical adjustment on that car is the valve adjustment. If the valves are out of adjustment the car will run as you describe. The valves have to be adjusted twice, once when hot and once when cold to set them properly. Valve adjustments on that car were done every 15,000 miles if I'm not mistaken. Start with the valve adjustment. While thats being done, have the tech pull a spark plug and see what that looks like and what the air filter looks like. I don't know when you last changed the plugs and filters but they should be changed every 30k. It is probably not the fuel injectors as they are self-purging and it would take a shipload of gunk to clog them. However, the injectors could be leaking. Have the tech put the car on an emissions gas analyzer during the service to see if there is excessive unburnt fuel (high HC and CO) that would indicate a leaking injector. the fuel filters on those cars should be changed every 100k or so. Its probably not the fuel filter. The distributor cap and rotor should be changed every 100k. again, since I don't know the mileage or service history on the car, it never hurts to do it if you haven't but the tech can check it during the valve adjustment.
