of block, rear numbers on block are 3849852 on front of block under alternator x5050. I'm told it's between 64-67 but i'd like to know specifically what year and how many horse power this block is factory 2barrell carb. any responses would be greatly appreciated.

Look on the passenger side there is a pad (flat spot) in front of the head . Should have some # and then 2 or 3 letters. If I knew the letters I could tell ya what ya got. In 1957 the bolt pattern was staggered on the valve covers and an only certain valve covers will fit. 2 humps on the front of the head can either be 1.94 valves or 2.02 valves with a cumbustion chamber between 68 and 72 ccI had a couple of them. If I remember right the 2 barrel was 195 horse and in 1967 they only had a 307 ci. There wer 2 or 3 letters on the front of the block along with the serial number that depicted the engine type. The mark on the head is likely a molding identification mark.

this mark represents "power pack" heads. They were the better heads at that time.1997 Ford Taurus brakes plus or rumble.?
