Is a 1992 Lincoln TownCar a good and reliable car? Any known problems?

Question:
I plan on buying one for $1,900.00. He just replaced the transmisison and replaced all of the air conditioning equipment. It has 140,000 miles on it. He said that it has never been in a accident from what he knows of. And that there are no known problems. Are these cars good? PLEASE HELP!

I have a 1993 Toyota Camry that when it sits and idles it has a vibration, rough idle ?

The one guy is wrong it was the Continental that had the 3.8 as another posted noted. The Townie has a 4.6 modular, a very good strong engine with lots of life left if she has been well maintained.

I own a 2002 Taurus. It has squeaking coming from the engine at low RPM. Can anyone help?

I would search http://www.edmunds.com to get a reliable price for a model with that many miles. Also sign up for a carfax on it. $1900 seems a bit high, but if it's in great shape you should be able to put at least another 60,000 miles on her.

I have a Chrysler Sebring.I changed my brake pad and rotors, also new rims (17"). Why is my brake screeching?

If it has a 3.8L in it, STAY AWAY! There is a recall on the engine. The head gasket blows out, and will cause a lot of engine problems! Most likely though, the town car will have a 5.0L in it...

$1900? For a 15 year old regular car with 140K on it?
Seems a bit much to pay, but then that's just my opinion.
I see better vehicles out there for sale costing not much more than $2K

HELLO does anyone know the bleeding order for the brakes on a peugeot expert van 1997?

If they have been properly maintained yes they are very good cars expect 200,000 miles from it easy. I know I have had two of them the last one had 190,000 when I sold it.
And ignore most of people they no nothing about cars a 92 Towncar has a 4.6 v8 none of them had 3.8 v6 that was the Continental.

Where are the volkswagen dealers located in florida?

I got a 1995/6 Lincoln Town Car in May '06 with 105k miles on it. Now, it has a 128k miles on it. They car has been well maintained, never in an accident, and it has performed beautifully. Well, as beautiful as a big *** car can. I did have to replace the fuel pump around 120k miles. I had a family friend (retired mechanic) replace it for about $100. He said that this is usual, and that fuel pumps generally have a lifespan of 100k miles. Other than that, I've just had regular maintenance (oil changes, changed wipers for winter weather). and I love the 4.6L V8!! great excelleration, especially from 40 to 75mph! for a hand-me-down car, I couldn't be happier.
