I own a shop, and have worked on, and/or owned many muscle cars over the years. You do know how to ask a tough question! In my opinion the best of the best would have to be the 1969 Camaro Z-28. The next on my list would be the 1966 Chevelle SS, followed by either a 67,68,69 Camaro SS.
Funny thing, the 69 was a small block, and the others are all big block engines. I did own a 66 Corvette Stingray that was dear to my heart, and truth be known, between all of these it's hard to pick just one, but the 69 did take the show.

Wow, i will agree with music on this one. you do know how to ask the tough ones. With there being so many different styles and makes out there. It's almost hard to pick that one "best aesthetic muscle car". If i had to i would probably go with one of these four.
the 68 or 69 camareo's, 69 chevelle ss or with the GT 500 in 1967 and the GT 500 KR ('King of the Road') in 1968. Then again being an oldsmobile kinda fanatic, i would also have to go with a 69 olds cutlass convertable.. thats my take on the situation and what i like. Great question though.
