Gas mileage on a 2006 VW Jetta 2.5?

If you look at all of the available data BMW tends to have more troubles. From personal experience I have to say that the same is true. BMW's tend to have many little things that go wrong and the cost is quite high on repairs, however, having said that, although Mercedes don't have as many problems the cost of simple maintenance on a Benz is unbelievably high. Depending upon which model you get even a simple oil change on a Mercedes can be more than you would ever expect. For my money, go with the Benz although I do love the look of a BMW

I have 1998/1999 1.6 LX Ford Escort. My coolant is a dark colour and the car is heating up. Any idea why?

Ack...if you're choosing between the two, it's BMW. But neither are really all that reliable, and when something does go wrong, you pay dearly.

Why No Jag listing?

But it definitely depends on the cars you're specifically comparing. For example, the BMW Z4 has very high reliability ratings, but the 7 series sedan is disastrous.

How do i change out a headlamp on an 83 bmw 320i?

I have been in Germany for the past 5 years. There are definately more older BMW's than Mercs around. I would say around 20:1.

What should be my first car a 96 Impala or a 03 Impala?

The merc is always the best. Germans have a passion for building the best automobile in the world. Think why Chryssler has joined Daimler & not anyone else. OK have a nice ride.

What rims would look good on 2000 lexus es 300?

That would be BMW. Even recently on the newspapers we read of how horrible MercedesBenz is doing in reliability..even Consumer Reports when on to say they couldn't recommend any of their vehicle because of numerous complaints.

I'm giving you a link to JDPower which is the authority on automotive reliability data, where it shows BMW is much higher up in reliability, than Mbenz.

Why does my 1995 mazda millenia not acccelerate?

Hope this answers your question...;-)

There is a chirp in the clutch area. everyone says it's a throwout bearing but iv'e replaced that.?

Depends what you want to do...how ruff you want to treat them. You can break a "tank" if you set you mind to it.
Each car will be reliable(the diesel Benz even more so if driven as they are suppose to be driven) Same goes for Beemers. Beems eat the fuel, just so you are aware. And driving a Mercedes makes you look as though you are 80.
If you don't plan to do the servicing as recommended by all manufacturers, get a horse(oh, but you have to feed it, darn)

Can't insert car key into ignition barrel and its not turning?

If you are looking for a purchase, study consumer reports on the make and model of choice.
Personal experience and ONLY my opinion - I would put my reliability bet on BMW.
