I own a shop, and have worked on cars for years. There is no way to adjust the rate of how fast, or slow the signals work, unless you take the flasher apart, and bend it a little. A new one may work faster, or even slower for that matter. To put a new flasher box in will not make it faster unless it is a lower temperature flasher. If you have ever saw how they work inside, you would see a thin strip of metal that heats up, and as it heats up, it will move away from the contact point. As it cools, it moves back to the contact point. This is done by the way the thin strip of metal is bent, and the only way to make it work faster is to change the angle of the bend when it is cold. The flasher is pretty cheap to buy, and not very hard to take apart with a hacksaw, or bend it if its a metal one.Glad to help out, Good Luck!
