Question:
I called the dealership and they told me to put the car in neutral, then shift the 4WD in neutral and roll back until I hear it shift gears, I do that for about 30 ft. and it nevers shifts, then when I try to put it in drive it does nothing. I don't have the owner's manual, am I doing something wrong??
Please help....

The 2000 Landcruiser is Full Time 4WD, you can not shift out of 4WD.
Anybody have a 2007 Mustang California Special?
To shift the transfer case between hi and low, with the engine running, apply the brakes, shift the transmission into Neutral, shift the transfer case shifter (little shifter next to transmission shifter) from Hi - N - Lo. You should not need to switch out of H, (if you need to ask.. soory)

You should get an Owners manual and read it, the Landcruiser should be understood. The dealerships sell Camrys and Scions...

I own a 5-speed 4x4 and if i switch from H2 to H4 you can do it while driving, and also take it back out of H4 back to H2. If you are stuck in L4 then you should stop then shift it into H2 and then drive forward the take your foot off of the gas and it should, in theory, disengage from 4WD. You may have to drive for 30 feet or so. But, if it is still in 4WD after this, try going backward and forward until it does, or until you get tired of it. Good luck with it. not exactly sure how it works with an auto, never had one.I want to know what manual transmissions were available for a 69 charger?
i have only ever owned 4x4s. heres how to do it. it always works and was originally told to my dad by the dealer when he first bought a brand new 40 series. put it in reverse, pop the clutch for a second just to make it lurch back a little. as you put your foot back on the clutch (car still lurching) shift the transfer lever. depending on how much low range driving you've been doing, it may take a couple of tries but you will soon get the hang of it. it will usually work in first as well but reverse is more reliable.More Questions & Answers ...
