Unless you are removing a completely assembled unit, and replacing it with another completely assembled unit, this is not a job for a beginner. You will need to rent or buy a spring compressor, and unless you have air tools, it will take you forever to get the springs off. Very very dangerous, have someone else do it for you. Pay the money, and continue to enjoy all your body parts just as they are. If you are a budding mechanic, then go watch the job being done, just reading about it won't show you how much muscle it can really take to do this. Even with the correct tools.
