Question:
I already asked about 24" rims and got some good input, and some real ***holes that answered, I was wondering since 24's would require alot of modification, how about 20", they will be wire wheels by the way incase that helps.

'96 Mustang GT Convertible- Trade or keep?
You will look like an ethnic loser. Dont do it.20 inch wheels are a lot better than 24's. But here are some side effects to big rims:
1. Your wheel bearings wear out QUICK...be prepared to replace them often.
2. Your transmission isn't designed to handle the weight of the wheel. Unless it is a lightweight wheel, big rims will eat up your clutch discs in your tranny.
3. If you are going with bigger rims, it is best to get a set of bigger rotors and spindles for the car. This will help the car retain it's braking capabilities.
4. Wire wheels. Hard to clean, and the wires will have to be trued up often. Great look, a lot of work!
map sensor solenoid valve for a nissan quest ,i need it where i can find it?
But as far as mods, not many mods are necessary to get the 20's under your car...if you don't plan on hanging onto your car for longer than about 5 years...
what kind of battery goes in a 38 ft. Chevy R.V.?
its possible however your investing in alot more. using a larger wheel will destroy your turning ability (little/no sidewalls on 20 inch tires). also you'll need to buy bigger brakes. youll have to recalibrate gauges. youll need to work on the suspension. odds are sharp turns will cut into your fenderwells. expect a loss of horsepower and torque. also 20 inch tires are expensive. if your ready for that, go for it.More Questions & Answers ...
