Question:
It starts back up but then dies. What is the deal? I changed my filter and it still dies. I do not know what is going on with this? Anyone have this experience before? I drive a Ford F 250 diesel. Thanks.

How can i swap 2 valve heads for a 4 valve in a 4.6 mustang modular?
Two things can be the problem, it's either fuel related or electrical. Check your fuel filter to be sure you're getting a constant fuel source and once that is eliminated you should know that it's electrical. You don't say the year of your truck but I'd bet $$ that it's the CPS (Cam Position Sensor). More info from you can help pinpoint the problem. Also try www.ford-trucks.com, look in the forums specifically for Ford Diesels. Good luck.*on edit* Since it's a 1995 I'd replace the CPS. It's almost a guarantee!
well did you or anyone else put non-diesel fule in it? or maybe has the starter gone out? i would contact your local mechanic or dealership to find out what the problem is.
In a diesel engine there is no ignition system.
No ignition coil.
No spark plugs.
It only needs a combustible fuel.
And cranking power.
In fact the way you shut off most diesel engines is to turn off the fuel supply.
I would start trouble shooting the fuel delivery system.
Starting at the fuel pump and working my way to the engine itself.
I would think it is the fuel system.

Anyone know what the biggest engine i could put in a 1997 toyota celica is? i wana v6.?
CHANGE THE fuel filter , I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AWHILE BACK , SOMETIMES ITS BAD INJECTOR PUMP TOO.Where can I ask about Ford Trucks with familiar or specialists in Yahoo categories?
Could be a leak in the hi pressure oil system. That's what powers the fuel system.7.3L were also notorious for cam sensor failures resulting
in a recall.
