Timing Belt Crankshaft Flange?

Question:
I replaced the timing belt on my 1994 LeBaron, and think I may have made a mistake. The crank flange was installed on the outside of the timing belt cover, rather than on the inside. Will this create a problem?

If I see this in my mind right. A little thin metal disk got put on outside the plastic cover of a 3.0 V6. Yep, that is wrong.

Crank flange isn't proper nomenclature so can't be sure about what happened. I beleive it should be under the plastic cover
