it is possible to buy the transmitter ay Auto Zone or the local equivalent store....you have to go and talk to the ""parts dude"" at the counter---most of those guys are nice and friendly and want to sell you the correct part and try to save you money while helping you get your ride fixed------the dealership is twice the price ---- you may have to wait a few days for your part after it is ordered but this is the best way to get the part-----I hesitate to ask but,, did you replace the battery in the "mitter".........good driving and HAPPY NEW YEAR
