i'm pretty sure the v6 will. the 2004 motor is a 3.4l, and the 97 motor is a 3.1l. there the same engine, the 3.4l is just bored out a little more. it "should" bolt up without too many problems. however, i think its the wiring harnesses you have to worry about. i've never tried it, but it should work.
