What are some performance upgrades that would work?

i have a stock 2003 dodge neon se with the 2.0 sohc and a 5 speed. I did put AEM cold air intake but what else should i do? i would like to stay under about $4,000. any suggestions? i am going to put a better exhaust on it also.

Power is good, but apperance is often better, get a body kit. The dogde neon body kits should run about 600$.
Other than a turbo, the only thing you can really upgread is the exahust.
