Result of class action against Nissan for 2003 Maxima headlights?

Hi -
I believe in 2004, NY and NJ filed class action suit againist Nissan Motors for their 2003 Maxima's headlights. The reason was that the 03' Maxima's headlights were targeted by thieves because they were can easily be removed. Does anyone know the result of this case?

I have a '00 expedition and the a/c works for a little and then warm air comes out.?

Nissan offered a theft deterrent system that cost u 30 bucks. i really dint know if i fault Nissan for having easily removable headlights. i don't know if anyone would have foresawn that thieves would target headlights. but on the other hand, i do have locks on my alum. wheels that were provided by the manufacturer (lol Nissan) so they must have foresawn the need to protect the wheels. from what i read about the theft deterrent it does not work. it was supposedly settle in july 2005 and i think florida and nj were the states.

How is this Nissan's fault for NY and NJ having a crime problem. There are many vehicles where you can remove the headlights without popping the hood, and easly romove them at that. I can take the headlights out of my car within 5 minutes, that includes getting the tools, and pulling the car into the garage (where I work). Its not a hard job for any head light to be removed, if you know what you're doing. Why did NY and NJ focus in on Nissan?
