There isn't much you can do. Those HD pick-ups are notorious for bad gas mileage. Ask yourself if you really need such a heavy duty truck. If the answer is yes, then you'll have to live with the mileage. If not, consider a Honda Ridgeline, or a Toyota Tacoma, or Nissan Frontier. All of those get close to 20mpg on regular gas.Good Luck

trade it in for a toyota. thats what i did with mine and i get about 18-20 mpg now. much better. and the toyota will last forever too.Make sure you have all you maintenance up to date. Hoses belts, oil change, etc. Make sure that you have proper air pressure in your tires. Drive like a grandma. In other words, take it easy on the gas pedal when starting off. Keep to the right on the highway and don't go over 55 to 60 mph. Also take any and all excess weight out of your truck. You also might want to remove your tailgate, or drive with it down. Keep your windows up too (hopefully your A/C works fine). That's about all you can do besides getting something more fuel efficient to drive.
