Where is the oil pump rod on a 79 dodge 360?

i am not sure where the oil pump rod is on my 79 dodge ramcharger with a 360, i need to change out the distributer magnet and need to pull out the whole thing and i am not sure if it attached to to the distributer like on ford. i am afraid to pull it without fully knowing and might drop it.

i own a repair shop ,and you don't have to worry about loosing that one it sets on top of the oil pump,so you can pull the distributor out of it without this happening to it,and if you,ll mark the distributor on it,you can put it back in the same way,and it will be right in time,just mark where the button is on it and there's only two ways the distributor will go in it,right or wrong,that's the good thing about a dodge it wont be a notch off or anything,good luck i hope this helps.

the oil pump driveshaft is located under the distributor shaft driven by an attached gear that meshs with the camshaft, you can remove the distributor w/o any problems. * be sure upon reinstalling dist. that slot in top of oil pump driveshaft engages with tab on dist. shaft bottom!
