Just out of curiousity does anyone still have an Austin/MG Montego? it's ages since I've seen 1?
I WOULD CHECK ALL THE GROUND WIRES FIRST A LOT OF PROBLEMS ARE CAUSED BY A BAD GROUND DOES THE ENGINE LIGHT STAY ON AFTER THE ENGINE IS STARTED IT HELPS TO KNOW WHAT THE ENGINE IS ACTING LIKE , STALLING , HARD START, POOR ACCELERATION . AND THE SUCH THE CODES YOU SEE ARE FOR THE INJECTION SYSTEM . COULD BE AS MINOR AS NEEDING SPARK PLUGS OR WIRES ANY WAY CHECK ALL THE SIMPLE THINGS FIRST THE ENGINE IS RUNNING FROM RICH TO LEAN IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE OX SENSOR THEN THEY NEED TO BE TESTED I HOPE THIS HELPS GOOD LUCKHow much oil should I add to my Dodge neon 1995 engine . thanks?

Them are o2s sensor codes,p0171 is a lean code I believe & p0174 I,m unsure if its rich,or it pertains to a specific o2 sensor.Take it to a shop & have them diagnose it for you.Good luckMore Questions & Answers ...
