What kind of gas do I use in my VW Jetta 2001 GLS 2.0?

I have recently bought a 2001 Jetta GLS, but as it often happens with used cars, it did not come to me with a manual. I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of gas this car needs (as per manual), and if there is any difference between using "regular" and "silver" types of gas for this car.
