05 Chevy Aveo Problems?

I have an 05 Chevy Aveo auto transmission. I have had problems with it shifting. It takes like 3 miles before it shifts to overdrive. I took it to have it service and they can't find any problems. I also have been getting bad gas milage like 24 or so to a gallon. Wanted to know if any one else has had this problem.

Why does my 98 dodge caravan have no brake lights?

I have an '05 Aveo as well. My car won't shift into overdrive sometimes if I accelerate it too fast, or when I'm accelerating down an incline (ramps entering the freeway). To allow it to shift, I let up on the gas to get the RPM's down and drop my speed to about 50, then GRADUALLY give it gas and it will usually shift. Sounds to me like Aveo transmissions just weren't built very well. Hopefully in the new '07 models, they fixed that problem

Hyundai, miles?

i don't know about your 24 mpg...that sounds bad for that car...but the tranny will not shift into overdrive until it is warmed up, that's why it won't shift. It's not a problem, it's just that the fluid has to warm up and thin out before it can shift into OD.

What could be wrong with my car?

the answer is you car is no good because it was built in korea
