I have a 92 Ford explorer. In the last month i have shredded 2 belts. The thermostat gauge raises a little bit and then goes back down and within a day the belt shreds i was wandering if it could be my waterpump is going out . I can also move the fan around on the pully when the belt is off. i didnt know if i should be able to move the fan up and down. The pully that it is on goes into the waterpump. It cand also be moved around. Please Help!!! i am desperate

the bearings in your water pump are going you need to replace it asap.you are not suppose to be able to move your fan up ,down,side to side at all.
