I'm getting a new car. My husband absolutely refuses to get a Ford- he hates them. So, which is better- Nissan's or Chevy's?

Well much depends on the models your talking about. Mis-informed people will tell you "Chevy sucks" because it's trendy currently to degrade the domestic manufacturers. Reality is many of their models are just as reliable, if not more (depending on the segment) than the foreign automakers.

All of this japanese reliability story telling is for the birds ! If their crap is so great why arent we using their ideas ? I still find it difficult to understand how they get reliability stats, on cars that are brand new! Go to the car makes section, under nissan, toyota, etc., and try to tell all of those people with butloads of car issues, that they are more reliable. I could advertise a 1934 coupe and claim its the most reliable car in the world, because you will never know the acuall truth, and all im worried about is closing all other car manufacturers down, and making money. For someone to think its ok to buy outside the us just because they are advertising that some are assembled in the us, doesn't realize that the profits still go to them. As for your husband who doesnt like ford, I have drove them all my life, and as far as im concerned, their isnt anything else. Most people that i talk to cant give me a logical reason why they dont like a certain vehicle make, because they are being brain washed by the over seas stock holders, or a clever commercial to make themselves seem more up to par than anyone else. If you still cant think outside the brainwash box, then you should go with the chevy. Quit supporting their crap and lies, and make your own stats, but not if you havent acually owned one long enough to know anything about it.
