Any diesel vehicle will run on biodiesel with no modifications.will a B16A out of a 91 crx fit in a 95 honda civic ex?
Biodiesel is just like regular diesel fuel only it is made from plant sources rather then petroleum. It has been de-esterized so it will work just fine in ANY diesel engine, in fact it has higher cetane (about 60) which means it more readily combusts than regular diesel and it has higher lubricity, which helps your engine and fuel pump last longer. It is completely non-toxic too. It is superior to regular petro-diesel in every possible way.
I just bought a 2003 VW Golf. Are there any problems to look forward to?
Don't confuse biodiesel with vegetable oil or recycled fat engines. Engines that can run in that stuff have special modifications which can handle the thicker/waxy consistency of those raw oils. Biodiesel is processed so it has the same consistency of regular diesel fuel and can be used without voiding your warranty.
Any American full-size van available with a diesel engine should run great on Biodiesel, but I strongly recommend the Freightliner/Dodge Sprinter. It's Mercedes-built engine is more fuel efficient than any of the other van diesels and it has a proven track record with biodiesel since it is widely available in Europe and it is in my opinon, overall a vastly better design than any of the space inefficient, hulking beasts designed in the 1970s that Ford and Chevrolet are still selling.h
well put ryan however biodiesel will gel up at a higher temp than dinodiesel , using a mixture of the two will prevent the problem with gelling in cold weather otherwise biodiesel will work perfect in any new vehicle in warm weather
