Left the car for two minutes with engine running. Came back and the doors had locked themselves. Got a local 'yob' to break in to the car for me and when he got in, the central locking activated on and off about 5 or 6 times. Got in the car, drove off and the doors locked themselves. It happens every time I use the car, the locking goes crazy on and off, on and off...but it always settles in the locked position. The key fob never worked since I got the car, but I've had no trouble opening all doors by putting the key in the driver's door. When the car has locked itself, trying to open either front door form the inside of the car doesn't work, I have to open the window and open the door from the outside using the key. Any ideas anyone?

THE ANSWER: The locks, switches, wires, remotes can all be checked systematically at the dealer. They cannot diagnose the exact problem over the phone, or face to face, without the car.
