It has transmission rebuilt at 130,000 miles. Looks and runs good. Is it worth buying a Pontiac with this much mileage?

You didn't say what engine was in it. If it's a 3.1L stay away! I've had two of those engines completely quit on me, both in Grand Prix's. And my parents also had a block crack in their GP.
Now I'm not dissin' Grand Prix's... I love 'em! I just bought a 2004 Grand Prix GT2 but I made sure it was the 3.8L.
I'd say it all depends on your price range. Obviously a car with that many miles and a rebuilt trany was beat on a bit. I'd say if you can spend the extra bucks and find another one.
Keep in mind if the guy is selling it that cheap, there's probably more things wrong with it then it appears.
The engine probably won't last much longer. What you end up buying is somebody else's headache.

That's too much money for a 10 year old car, with that many miles on it. Stuff will certainly start to fall apart piece by piece. Save your money and buy something else.No No No. Everything is worn down. Ponchos run on suspension to make that engine perform and thay clog up with the radiator a lot. Then agin u may if u know how to change bushings on control arms and all those steering things.
I have a 1995 Grand Prix SE, and right now its at almost 225,000 miles, and ive never had any problems with it. I dont have barely any money in it besides changing breaks and oil, which you're going to have to do on any car. Let me know whose selling it because if you dont buy it, maybe I will.
That's a lot of miles,but the old gal might have a lot more left if the car has been taken care of properly.
