have just brought a townace or towny as ive been told they are called was wondering how good a van they are as am gonna do a bit of touring round the uk in it with my family and was wondering if ther is anything i need to look out for on it apart from the obvios?

The townace suffers from overheating due to poor airflow over the mid mounted radiator, this leads to head gasket failure and sometimes heads cracking. They are very expensive to fix as they are imports and parts are not that freely avalible, it's also a ***** of a job to do with the engine hatch under the passenger seat and best left to a competent mechanic.is the audi tt roadster a 1.8l?
If you value your family trade it in for a caravan at your local pikey yard - still dangerous but infinitely safer than the 'towny'.jeep wrangler or toyota fj cruiser for serious off road?

Not too sure what a "townace" is but if it's similar to the Toyota Sienna then it's and excellent minivan. I personally have owned three toyotas', a 75 corolla in highschool, and now i have and 04' corolla S also, a 05' Toyota Solara. Never had a complaint about any of them.
