Question:
I am going to buy a new truck and would like someone to respond who has a chevy truck or suv with a 5.3 liter v8. If you tow with your vehicle can you tell me how heavy your trailer and what kind of average miles per gallon you get? I am hoping to hear that 12 mpg or better is realistic. Thanks

Is there a 6 speed manual dodge ram hemi?
Well first of all you cant compare the previous chevys to the new 2007 silverados because for one the mpg is a lot better and with the active fuel management capability you can expect happy sailings....the average mpg on the new 2007 chevy silverado 1500 5.3L is approx. 18 and 21.if you are towing 5klbs then expect at least 14mpg on it..i'm only saying that b/c my customer towed something heavier and he got about 13-14mpg. take what i say to the bank because i sell these things all day long and have endured long hours of training on the silverados. good luck on your new purchase! Can any body give an official email address for a costumer services Lexus Company in ‎Japan?
i've got a 5.7 Z28 and i get about 20-24 highway, so add 4-5k worth of weight you should be in the 15mpg area, as long as its mostly highway towing with as little stops as possible, you'll get alot better mileage than you'd think, its the stop and go that gets you...Where are the spark plus on a 97 2.4L Pontiac Sunfire?
Bad -= Very Bad !! Possibbly even Sad!Will a transmission out of a 1984 monte (v6) fit a older chevy 350 engine?
Depends on whether you can tow (on flat ground) in overdrive or not. Older Chevy trannies couldn't take that abuse. Maybe new ones can, I don't know for sure.justin h, you cannot compare your car to the towing with a truck, for one, motor sizes are different, for 2 the gearing is different, your car is more for acceleration,a truck is more geared for haulin or towing capacity, and yes 12 mpg is feasible, i calculate anywhere from 9 to 16 mpg
